Hi! My name is Mrs. Diane and I am the owner and operator of The Little Owls Nest. I have been working with children for the past 20 years. I received my start working in an in-home preschool setting while attending college for Liberal Studies, at that in-home preschool I quickly found out that my passion is the early learners. From that point on I switched my major to Early Childhood Education. Being a military spouse I was able to develop and continue my education while working in various programs across the country. I've had the opportunity of working in Kindergarten readiness classrooms, Assistant Teaching as well as Lead Teaching in preschool classrooms and eventually moving onto Assistant Directing at a 250+ childcare center/preschool. The military eventually took us to Hanford, CA where we were able to plant roots more long term. There I was able to return to my first love of an intimate small classroom that an in-home can offer. My staff and I operated a successful in-home preschool program for 10 years. Now that we are embarking on a new journey of military retirement we came back to our home town of Yuba City. My hopes is to bring my love of Early Childhood Education to the Yuba Sutter area in the same in-home preschool fashion you don’t receive in larger settings. I love what I do and I look forward to the many years to come helping children develop and learn. It is a privilege to have a small impact on our early learners.
